OUR MISSION : PROMOTE LITERATURE |
Our
association was founded in 1927 and today is known under the name
:
"Société
des Ecrivains d’Alsace, de Lorraine et du Territoire de Belfort".
Its primary goal is threefold :
1. Serve as a link between writers of Alsace, Lorraine and Territoire
de Belfort,
in an effort to decentralize literary creation, with
an open spirit towards the
admission of authors living in Europe and interested
in or inspired by our
North-East region.
2. Facilitate contacts and mutual support between its members.
3. Encourage and foster literary creation.
On October
12, 1986 the"Société des Ecrivains" acquired a European dimension.
Hence the addition of the terms "Association à
vocation européenne" to its title.
Its archives
are kept at the Municipal Archives of Strasbourg.
The
Association has no continuance limits.
